Rome, Italy — José Mourinho has issued a career-defining ultimatum to Roma winger Ezequiel Prestianni, declaring the young star's future at the club — and potentially in football — will be 'over' if allegations of abuse are proven true.
The Allegations
Prestianni, 21, is at the center of a storm after being accused of racial abuse during Roma's Serie A clash with Lazio last weekend. 'If the accusations are true, it's over for him,' Mourinho stated. 'Not just at Roma, but in football. We don't tolerate this. Full stop.'
Mourinho's Track Record
The Portuguese manager has never shied away from protecting his players — or dropping them at the first sign of trouble. Prestianni, a £40m signing from Benfica, was tipped to be Roma's next talisman.
What's Next?
The FIGC's investigation concludes by Friday. Potential punishments range from a multi-game ban to a lifetime suspension. Prestianni has vehemently denied the allegations but remains suspended from training.
